WanderSearch Canterbury’s mission is to provide tracking systems to the cognitively impaired who have a potential to wander, get disorientated, and as a result may get lost.

Full description

We are seeking several volunteers based in South Canterbury to deliver tracking devices to our cognitively impaired clients. Our clients are both young and older.

Once a client receives their initial tracking device every six months post-delivery their device must be picked up and changed over for battery refurbishment purposes, a fresh device is then left with the client.

How does it work?

You will be assigned to a geographical client area that works for you and you will service those clients living there.

When needed:  Weekdays or, whatever day suits you and the client.

Aptitudes Required:

An ability to relate well to people, a compassionate nature, methodical.

Requirements:  a clean drivers’ licence. You will need to be Police checked.

Training: Full training given.
